I have been taking pictures of derelict spaces and abandoned constellations in many different countries since 2010.
Countries include: USA, England, Poland, France, Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Thailand, China, and Hong Kong
I am interested in decay and the organic integration of it in urban planning. I am interested in finding meaning in the unconscious layers of such decay. Hidden messages reveal themselves, poems surface, new forms of hieroglyphics emerge — a chilling account of the ecstatic human experience. The unconscious arrangement of objects, trash, and the overall collaborative manipulation of such nameless spaces is an ongoing collaborative work of art. An installation made by unknown contributors: a projection of our traumas and collective experience as a whole.
Most photos by Cristine Brache and every now and then a few photos by Piotr Bockowski.
